Just a different way...
Hi everyone!
SustAccess is one of about 70 projects in the Interreg North Sea Programme, which is an EU funding for projects that in some way or another aim at sustainability and innovations. SustAccess explores the transport relations between a Gateway and its surrounding Hinterland – even the English language has its foreign expressions. A Gateway attracts people for work, education, leisure and health care for example. When living outside the Gateway these visitors often do have to take the car. Our main question is how to strengthen the public transport in daily rural or suburban life. Even goods are transported back and forth between Hinterland and Gateway, mostly by lorry. So here we pose the question how to transfer these growing freight flows to rail or water in stead.
As usual we are quite traditional in our way of communication: workshops and conferences, reports and magazines and a homepage. We tried to produce the reports in PDF format only, but many of us are old fashioned and want a paper version anyway. I am the first one to admit that I’m old fashioned my self.
It is therefore a pleasure to announce that we might have found newer ways of reaching out. This video clip is the first in a series that we produced, and it shows – only in 30 seconds! – what we think is the core message. In a funny way. In a provocative way. Short. Enjoy them. And please feel free to comment by clicking on comment underneath!
And also, in august when we publish the rest of the video-clips I am hoping that the other project leaders working with a SustAccess-project might share their thoughts on their work here on this blogg. So all you project leaders out there, prepare to be bloggers.
